Every Day is a Gift

I woke up today feeling angry and thankful at the same time.

Angry because my brother was involved in a bad accident yesterday. Some guy ran a red light and rammed right to my bro's car. Driver's side. It was a miracle that my bro escaped with just minor bruises and the guy only bled a little on his lips. Both of them were driving alone.

I'm thankful because my brother's life was spared. God has given us yet another day to love and appreciate each other.

We had such a nice time together at the PC fair last Sat. Just shopping and browsing through tech gadgetry. Eating lunch, having tea and chatting about both trivial and deep stuff. I want to have more of such times with him.

Every day, every loved one is a gift. Treasure them today. For you never know what tomorrow may bring.

*Glad your brother is ok! The other guy too. It's a real mind trip when somebody gets badly hurt in an accident in which you're involved even when it clearly wasn't your fault. O, the human mind.

*He seems ok thus far. I know I'd be traumatised thinking of who might have been killed or seriously injured, and the accident replaying in my mind. shudder
