My Bangkok Trip ~ In ...

Updated oso! ~~ Kau Sai

I'm back in one piece! I have been incommunicado for the past couple of days for various reasons that could not be helped. I was surprised that being Net-less for two whole days did not turn me into a roving freak. Heh, maybe I'm not that addicted to the Net after all

Oh, and if there's one picture that could summarise my whole trip, it's this one:

Pork - From the moment I stepped into Bangkok, I was assailed by the smells of pork. Fried, stewed, stir-fried, barbequed - you name it, they have it EVERYWHERE. I'm literally all porked up. Oinks!

Shopping - And the shopping, ooooh, the shopping! It's amazing what you can find there at really good prices if you look hard enough. And we're talking about quality stuff here, folks. Not the stuff you find at the very hot and stuffy &Q;$@$! Chatuchak market. Man, I hate that place. Tell you more later.

For the moment, life at home beckons. It's really, really great to be back. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss my car. I miss the freedom and independence I get here to just drive to anywhere I like instead of putting myself at the mercies of cabbies.

Enjoying Kau Sai (Dog Shit)

Ever since I visited Phuket last year, I fell in love with the Thailand treats, specifically the pork floss which is fondly called Kau Sai since it resembles dog poo

And here are some shots of me enjoying it. I'm a favourite amongst my colleagues today - one taste of Kau Sai and they are my slaves for the day. Either that or the short tennis skirt I'm wearing to work has something to do with it. Hmmm...
