Benefits of Growing Old

I got this list over email the other day. With a list like this, it kinda makes it easier to embrace the golden years ahead with a grin. I particularly like (and can relate to!) points 1, 3, 8 and 10. 4 out of 10 - still quite a long way to go before I consider myself truly old. Feel free to add on to this list, folks.

  1. Forget the health food, I need all the preservatives I can get - Maggi Mee, Pama Mee, Indo Mie, I love thee all!

  2. I finally got my head together, and my body fell apart

  3. Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it - Eh, how did I get this nose crooked? I must have broken it. But when did the cat fight happen??

  4. Age doesn't always bring wisdom. Sometimes age comes alone.

  5. My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely.

  6. You know you are getting old when you stoop to tie your shoes and wonder what else you can do while you are down there.

  7. There's nothing left to learn the hard way.

  8. You consider coffee one of the most important things in life - Chek Hup! Chek Hup! Chek Hup!

  9. You constantly talk about the price of petrol.

  10. Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either - The other day, I bumped into a former counselee and for the life of me, besides her name, I can't remember her issues at all. I think it's a blessing in disguise, to be given the grace to forget the bad things and remember only the good ol' days :-P
