My Very First Book Launch

I woke up and got ready at a leisurely pace. My folks were more kan cheong (eager) than I was and were already out at the doorstep patiently waiting for me half an hour before I ventured out. Wah, these two are really my greatest fans.

Reached Mid Valley by 10.20am and had some time to pose around the small area right in the heart of MPH where the book launch was held. As me and mom were searching for the page where my story was printed, someone came from behind and covered my eyes. It was my dearest bezzie! I was so happy she could make it despite her busy schedule. She told me that it was our Heavenly Father who made it possible. I'll let her tell the story if she wants

And then Rapunzel came! Later on I said, "Thank you for kambing!" To which she replied, "Don't mutton it!" Heh.

Followed by Jude, who got me started on Book Project 2 in the first place. For my birthday this year, she gave me Book Project 1 with the name card of the project's creator nestled within. One thing led to another and here I am, a published author. Jude, thank you so much. Without you, this would not have been possible.

I was one of the three speakers today and found it to be a fun experience. Had fun bashing the male species up - well, not really lar. But I think Jonathan Lim whom I met very unexpectedly there was the one who said, "Woi!" to my "Do such guys even exist anymore?" statement hor? Heh heh.

Anyway, Rina took a video of most of my speech. Those of you who want me to upload or mail it to you (as well as the music video above), drop me a line or say aye here. I was wearing pink, wrote a love story and talked about meeting love at unexpected places. No wonder this guy who asked for my autograph called me, "Ms. Romantic"

Also had loads of fun book signing, answering some questions and being interviewed by The Sun. All you need is a good gel ink pen and a firm smile in place. Those who asked me questions to prep me, thanks. They helped!
