Holding Out For a Hero

This post made me think of what makes a man attractive. It reminded me of the seemingly average Joes that I see everyday but may very well be heroes in disguise.

They may not look like much outwardly, but have these qualities:
  1. Brave in making changes in their lives - Abe who is a talented musician. He's in his late 20's but decided to go back to college to finish his degree. And he's totally cool about it. I find that very, very attractive. He has a very cheerful and addictive smile and a very optimistic outlook in life. I sense strength in him.

  2. Laidback and knowledgeable - Bart, who is a cool and witty guy. He expresses his anger in a controlled manner and is someone you'd be happy to take back home to mom. Consistent, too - a very very attractive plus point.

  3. Relaxed, approachable and confident - Claude, who has a very cute smile and witty and dry sense of humor. He's a real jolly good fellow who has a good head on his shoulders. Very very charming that Claude.

  4. A thinker who is fun and humourous - Dennis, he can write difficult theological issues and debate with other thinkers or seekers in a polite, funny and respectful manner. I love the way he dissects things and his firm faith in God. Very very attractive.

So there you have it. Four dudes who may never appear in FHM's Bachelor of the Year list. But who are definitely in my list of top cool guys you should get to know. Oh, some of them are already taken, but they do give hope that there are still good men out there. So, girls, don't give up. Let's hold out for our heroes :-D

*Ooooh, yeah. One hero placed his hand on my shoulder in my time of need. That's when I knew he was one :-)

*A hero sometimes comes in disguise and often are revealed through their actions. At first you might not notice them until they act.

It could as simple as gentle touch on their Grandmother's arm or shoulder you cry on.
