Been tagged again! Ok,
BeerBrat, here goes nothing.
List down 5 childhood memories of food.
- Ice cream floss - Little sweet tooth me used to love how fluffy and pink they look, and marvel how those clouds of ice-cream would melt into my mouth AND in my hands. Heh.
- Kum Kum & Chickadees - My favourite junkfood of all time! I remembered a packet of Kum Kum being the first purchase I ever made in my kiddie time. I still can't understand why they have to discontinue this fabulous product line

- Milo on toothpicks - When you are young and wheel-less and have a penchant for some lollies, what do you do? You improvise. My siblings and I would squish generous amounts Milo into tiny balls and stick them onto toothpicks. We will arrange these delicacies carefully in a plate and place them in the fridge to cool. After about 20 minutes, they are good to go. Perfect tit-bits for young couch potatoes.
- Nescafe Shake - My mom and eldest sis are Nescafe coffee fans. As such, we have oodles of freebies courtesy of their Nescafe purchases. One of which was the Nescafe plastic Shaker which we put to good use. In those days, there were no Coffee Bean, Starbucks nor Halo Cafe. So again, we kids improvise. We would put Nescafe, Milo and Horlicks into the shaker together with ice and shake it well and good. The results were frothy, cool and yummily delicious. Great for young couch potatoes with their eyes peeled on Remington Steele.
- Roti Manis - I love the lightness, fragrance and terrific taste of this kind of bread. Gardenia can't hold a candle to it. How I miss the roti man who used to come cycling down our road. Man, what I would give to sink my teeth on some warm roti manis!
Right, I'm done. BeerBrat, thanks a lot for making me salivate in nostalgia as I complete this dratted meme. You owe me one. Big time.
As usual, I will spare my blogger buddies the angst of being meme-ed or being cursed if they do not pass this on. But those of you who want to be tagged, can go ahead to answer the questions above. It's kinda fun!
