Being Long-Winded

For some reason, I must start being long-winded whenever I write. After all, I'm training for a writing marathon of sorts. One month. 50k words. Blow me down.

No, no, no. That simply cannot do anymore. My 'I'm' shall now be 'I am'. My 'Don'ts' will be 'Do not' and so on and so forth.

The thing is, I am a lover of brevity. I like things to be punchy, direct and to the point.

I rather disliked that childhood poem that went like this:
Round and round the garden
Like a teddy bear;
One step, two step,
Tickle you under there!
Two reasons:
  1. I think Teddy was beating around the bush. Bad Teddy. Baaad.

  2. I do not, and I repeat, I do not appreciate being tickled

And I shudder to think of what this writing project will do to me. I hope to emerge unscathe.

*Good writing is always punchy, direct, and to the point :-) But that doesn't mean the story cannot be a long one!! I can't wait to see how yours turns out. Knowing you, it's sure to be a joy to read! ;-)
