No Choc Today :(

Every six months or so, I have a ritual. Sending my car off for maintenance at our favourite mechanic. I love sleeping in on the weekends, so in order to pry myself out of bed early on a Saturday morning just to go to the mechanic, I need a suitably strong motivation.

And that motivation comes in the form of hot chocolate.

For a few years now, they have moved to this row of shophouses near Baker's Corner. I would deposit my car at their workshop and spend the next hour sipping the rich and exquisite hot chocolate while reading a book or a magazine. Man, I can drown in its smooth, sweet, silky depths.

I really look forward to those times of being alone with my thoughts, book and hot chocolate.

Unfortunately, most good things must come to an end eventually.

The hot chocolate machine broke down when I was there last Friday. And when I dropped my car again at the workshop today, it still wasn't fixed.

So, I had to settle for their other beverages - which paled a lot in comparison to their signature chocolatey drink.

There goes my motivation. But I still have hope. Stay tuned till my next visit there. I hope to be the bearer of good news.

By the way, does anyone have a recipe for making home-made hot chocolate with ingredients that I can get locally?
