Back to the Future was one of my favourite trilogies while growing up. The best one of all was the first episode where Marty McFly (played by Michael J. Fox) had the opportunity to go back into his parents' past and make those two fall in love with each other. He had to. Else he would cease to exist.
You would think that one of the most memorable scenes of the movie that I can recall to great detail to this day would be the scene where Marty first got into the car and whizzed back to the past. Or when Marty's mom (then a teenager) fell in love with him instead of his dad. Or when Marty was doing some cool moves on the electric guitar towards the end of the movie.
Marty and his young-again mom
But no, none of those scenes were etched forever into my memory. The scene of
Marty McFly's unusual sleeping position does. Sorry, couldn't find any pics on this but might shoot one of my own.
This scene takes the cake. Maybe because it really is an odd position to sleep in. I would imagine the cramps Marty would experience when he wakes up the next morning.
But this morning, I didn't have to imagine it anymore. For I found myself sprawled on my bed exactly like Marty McFly.
And boy, it does hurt when I woke up. My neck, upper arms and back were in pain when I moved.
Must have been that nightmare I had last night. Can't recall what it was exactly but it did involve going back to my past. And seeing my mom in a frightening hair do
