Ideals

Just came back from a night out with some pals. It wasn't as fun as it would have been if some of them hadn't pulled out at the last minute. Nor if the first stop we chose was not so smokey that our eyes smarted and we felt that the haze has made a comeback. Gag

But the good thing that came out of tonight was that my friend declared that the clubbing scene was not for us and our time and money would be better spent on having quiet and meaningful meals with friends - as most of our outings had been. Or having a blast at a karaoke session. Me, I'm alright with going anywhere decent as long as it's with people I trust, and who are fun and easy-going - and if the place was non-smokey.

As we passed by a happening club, there was mention of a mutual friend of ours having met her boyfriend there. The boyfriend is a really cute and nice person, so don't get me wrong. I just feel that if it was me, I wouldn't want the first place where I laid eyes on my soul mate to be some club.

"So, where's the ideal place where you'd want to first meet your Mr. Right?" my friends asked.

I thought for a while and then smiled, "The library. In an ideal situation, I'd be delighted to say that I met my guy in some library or art museum. Work or church is so common place. Clubs can raise eyebrows. A library sounds respectful... and romantic somehow."

Hah. If wishes were lasagnes, I'd be bigger than Garfield now .

*Hmm. Interesting point.
For me... perhaps cliche-ish, but i'd like to meet my future spouse at someone else's wedding.

*LOL!!! Mark, what museum was that? Post it, quick :-P

Yeah Vagus, that's an interesting place to meet one's soulmate :-) A friend met his wife there. And of course, 'The Wedding Singer' had the two leads meet each other at a wedding. So lomantic!

*Me... I've never really thought where'd be a good place to meet.. so far for me..
1. In ministry
2. In choir...

so looks like it's been in church.. i don't frequent many other places.. but there was this one gal that I really liked.. but didn't get to talk to her till much later.. (found out that by then she was attached).. man.. I met her on the tennis court.. nothing like a cool chick who plays tennis.. (and nooo.. it's got nothing to do with the skirt).. just a woman who's willing to play a powerful game.. like tennis.. yummy.. ha ha ha ha
