Can Chemistry Be Manufactured?

It is possible to try your best to like someone and actually develop some bonds and be comfortable with them after spending time with them. And getting to know them better.

On the other hand, there are those whom you just don't have the interest to get to know them more. Even if they were the last eligible person left in your sphere of contacts.

There is nothing wrong with their looks or personality. You two just don't click. You are blissfully unaware of the person even though you are standing so close to each other. You couldn't recognise his voice and he couldn't recognise you from the back. And you two don't feel a single spark whenever you touch. Nit. Nada. Zit.

Strange thing this chemistry is. You never know when it's gonna hit you.

If it can be bottled, it will be a sure hit. It'll be called "Love Potion #9".

Besides being a popular song back in the 60's, it was the title of a sweet movie. I became a fan of Sandra Bullock watching this.

It was a movie with heart. I mean, if you were holding this potent potion, you'd have the power to make literally anyone go head over heels for you. All you need to do is to cough or talk. Who wouldn't want this thing??

Well.

I wouldn't.

Yeah, silly me, rite? But I'm sold out to the idea of being a goddess to just one guy and one guy only. And I wouldn't want him to like me only when I am boozed up with Love Potion #9. What if some other woman (or man!) guzzles up Love Potion #10 or #11 or #12?? What hope would I have then?

Maybe that's why natural chemistry exists - to make the selection process easier somewhat. You either have it or you don't. If you don't, it can be the cause behind many an unreciprocated love, and unhappy marriages when it gets choked up by selfishness and unkindness.

Anyway, am on assignment to manufacture chemistry with some of my fellow members in a project we are working on. We are required to bond by doing stuff together. Some pork thing with C. A girls' nite out with the J-girls. Stay tuned to see if it works out.
