Back from a weekend away

Pooped! Here's how I looked when I first arrived at Bukit Tinggi.

That's what happens when you bring out with a bunch of kids on a weekend getaway. It was a strange experience - feeling like being parents and making sure everyone's comfortable and have enough to eat, and yet also being their pal - just hanging out and doing fun stuff with them. Really weird alright. Thank God for being able to share the load with dear Rina.

We've got to stay at some real neat apartments there - for free! - thanks to Grace's mom. Felt real happy that the apartments came with a view!

While the youths were checking out the Japanese gardens, Rina and I had a nice quiet time of re-exploring the French Village (yes, the knight in shining armour is still there!) and conversing on deep issues. All too soon, the young uns came back and with them, all that energy and endless chattering and good natured ribbing. Both of us aunties grinned at each other knowingly. So this was probably how our parents felt when we, boisterous kids come home from vacations sooner than expected or decide to stay at home the whole weekend.

Highlights of the trip include taking pics of Colmar Tropicale at night (like the nice one above - notice the cute cicak on the wall?), the awesome Colmar Tropical dancers and a karaoke session which didn't quite take off as expected. Here are some of the pics taken:

Looks can be very deceiving... It didn't taste great after all.

The lomantic fountain. No one threw coins nor made wishes there. Strange...
