True Lurve

Another hypothetical post. This time, Mr. X.

He doesn't like hanging out with colleagues after work.

He has never initiated any social outings in his life. And I mean NEVER.

Yet when a lady friend and colleague tendered her resignation, jaws dropped when he was open to the idea of attending the farewell dinner. Jaws dropped and eyeballs popped out when he actually volunteered to organise a farewell party for her. And he's handling it pretty well, too - contacting everyone personally and made bookings with the restaurant.

It's so totally out of whack from his normal preference. And so totally cool to see him stepping out of his comfort zone.

And he does all these without expecting to get any response whatsoever from the girl. Nothing. Nada. Zit. Really wan.

When I heard about this, I went gaga, "Wow, if that isn't true love, I don't know what is!"

*Well. Who's to say what that represented? Hard to conclude that he has a thing for her lar based on that. Perhaps he really appreciated her as a colleagues leh?

*But it's the power of lurve at work lor bcos it made him do things that he would never have dreamed of doing. Well, maybe a better word would be agape - a love with no expectations.
