An Ode to Dad (Updates)

Printed the poem out fresh from the web and showed it to mom yesterday. She was pleased as a pie but was puzzled over the comments on the side.

"Your readers having problems with hairy legs, ah?" she asked.

I just brushed it aside with, "Those are just comments lar. Mere trivialities. The poem is the main dish."

She wasn't wearing reading glasses then so I read it out loud to her. When it came to this part - 'Your love for mom is as strong as the day you wed', she actually blushed rosily.

"And how did you know that?" she asked.

"Mom, kids know about things like that. And it's true, right?" I said with a knowing and matured look.

She nodded and smiled prettily.

Heh.

Anyway, I began today by wishing dad a happy father's day before going to church. When I returned, mom happily told me that he was so pleased with the poem that he had it filed among his most precious documents.

Wah.

But hor, that means that those comments are also immortalised forever. Hehehe :-)

*Oops.
Perhaps you might want to let your mom know that the person with the hairy legs is a man. And it's not exactly a problem-lar :-P
Nice poem, really.
