Being Hit On

I never believed in office romances since I joined this company. For one, it was too small and everyone's too connected with each other and the bosses. Thus, if anything were to start and end on sour terms, a most awkward time would be had by all. Through my years here, the friendships built were very close and nicely platonic.

Until today.

So here I was, chatting with a new colleague about work related matters but he kept steering it into flirtatious waters. And it wasn't just mild flirtation. It was blatant. My eyes nearly popped out of disbelief. Should I laugh out loud or wince in revulsion?

It made me feel extremely uncomfortable - I can't diss him off just like that because I didn't want to cause a rift between our working relationship. And apparently, anyone unmarried is like fair game to him. Because once he found out that I was single, he zoomed right in like a shark. Ok, he's a shark with a conscience then. But a shark nevertheless ;-)

At the moment, I'm getting my assistant to get the necessary info from him so that I can get my job done. My strategy is to minimise contact and hope he gets the hint. Maybe it'll all blow over soon.

Drama, drama. Whatever happened to my boring and peaceful old working life?

*Hmmmm... find it difficult to enjoy attention from a sleazeball leh. Now... if it were Tom Cruise, that would be a totally different matter :-P

*Grissom can flirt?? Eh, didn't you say he was an emotional retard?

*Depends on what you think "flirting" is...

I remember one episode where he told Catherine that he "missed her toosh".

*See?

Anyway... Catherine and Warrick's got something going on and so's Sara and Greg; all Grissom's got left is that Sophia chick, which a lot of fans online don't seem too happy about...

This is a great CSI fan site - http://www.csiguide.com/default.asp

*At least you got hit on by someone you knew. I got hit on by a total stranger at the Monorail station, and he had 'desperate' written across his forehead! Furthermore, he didn't take the hint when I gave him one word answers :-P
