Peeps from the Past

My company is on a hiring spree and many resumes have been flooding in - all to be sorted and channelled to the appropriate persons by yours truly and Mike.

The only weird highlight in this hectic day was receiving a resume that was directed to my department.

It wasn't not just any resume. It was a resume of a guy who used to be quite a pest in the past. A guy who chased after me (and any other sweet young things) for dates. But also a guy who used to look down on me and would turn a deaf ear to what I have to say just because I was younger than him.

Would I ask him to come for an interview for a position that will report directly to me?

Go figure :-P

*Well, you can ask him to come for an interview but definately DON'T hire him or else you'll get yourself into real big trouble. It will be either you or him will leave the company soon and you'll lead your working life to a miserable one, trust me.

*Whilst the decision is clear, but what about his core competencies?

But then again if his work ethics and character does not suit the workplace, I guess that would be a primary reason not to even consider hiring him.

However, it'd be interesting (sadistic though) to interview and then, grin with glee as he comes in for an interview with you.. and then just shoot him down. grin

What am I thinking!?!??!? Be a good Christian.. Phil 4:8...

*Time for revenge!! Haha...

Interview the fella for the fun of it. But you need to be bolder and be scary (which i dont think you are - except when on stage).

Anyway, great to know PM PRO is free

*Yeah.. of all the characters from Phantom (Of the Opera) she's the scariest.. those words.. still burned into my memories.. "You!!... Cannot Enter!" cackle.. cackle

Till today.. sends shivers down my spine. Wonder if she'll do that to her husband one day.. if he comes back late from work or games/golf etc.. ;-)

*Hehe, you guys are tempting me to interview the poor sod, eh? Too bad I don't have much time on my hands in the office these days. So I will give this a miss... for now.

Paul, his resume shows that he is qualified for the job but a big aspect of how successful he'll be lies in how well we can work together. As Musical says, hiring him will probably be a big mistake.

Good to hear from you, Josh. Any plans to migrate back to PMachine? :-)

*As far as fragrant titles go, mine is not very glamorous - just known as the systems head ;-) But they are treating us better here. And that's what matters, I guess :-)

*Ha, just realised that I totally forgot to retaliate to the nefarious talk about my scari-ness.

As Joshua says, I'm not a scary person. A lamb :-) So Paul, your wonderings about how I'll treat poor hubby are in vain. I won't scare him... I will do other things... hehehehe!

*That's so Baa-aad!! Poor (future) hubby doesn't know what he's in for. I pray he'll read this blog entry.. heh heh...*before it's too late*

New bf CoolCat? hmm.. that's interesting, when are we gonna meet him.. Keeping eyes peeled from now on

Nefarious talk.. nah we just said that you can act "scary" but we didn't imply that you were.

*Paul, haiya... you so cheeky and keipoh wan.

Krista, the strange thing is, I may be as curious as a cat most times but not that curious to know how this guy turns out to be. I think I have resigned to the fact that he'll probably be the same as he was those years back. In all the years that I knew him, he was consistently the same.
