After the wedding dinner on Sat (
hurrah #1 - no prying uncles nor aunties!,
hurrah #2 - got comments from reliable sources that I still looked the same!), Rina and I headed to Bangsar for further tete-a-tete (since the night was still so young). Then we adjourned to Mei Fong's house where we began our partial 'spiritual retreat' proper.
Starting from last year, we three gals will make it a point to
meet up at every year end for a time of reflection and prayer. It's a time where we also speak into each others' lives and reveal any blindspots that we may have and to indicate support for each other for the coming new year.
We were supposed to take today off so that we can do the reflection bit but alas, due to circumstances, one of us could not take leave today. And thus, we will conduct the day of reflection some other time in the very near future.
Yesterday, we had a very fruitful and moving time of prayer. Everyone gave and received a word of encouragement from the Lord and we really look forward to that time of reflection of 2004 and planning for 2005.
Too bad it couldn't be done today and we wished that we could be anywhere but at work now. Still, life is not about doing what we want but being faithful in doing what God wants. And He will give the grace to bear with this Monday blues
Ciao for now.
