Forgiven... not forgotten

Newsflash: 19 souls got saved on Sunday. Hallelujah!!!

I woke up yesterday feeling like the past three days and three months were just a dream. For that brief period of time, I was living out most of my days as the classy and lovely Claire (my character in the play 'Forgiven'). Now, I'm back to my old self.

As I have suspected, I felt a pang of sadness knowing that chapter of my life has ended. It's like something I was so passionate about and consumed most of my waking hours has abrubtly ended, leaving a huge crater in its wake. A crater that would eventually be filled with other pursuits and goals. But it wouldn't really be the same.

It's really ironic. I used to stay away from tear-jerkers and prefer to watch movies with happy endings only. But now that I have acted in a real tear-jerker in a tragic role, I am starting to see the beauty of making people cry. Heh. Well, not in a bad way, of course. But having a moving story that can prise open hearts that have been hurt and jaded - and bringing healing tears and a reminder of not to take our loved ones for granted - that is a very, very powerful tool.

More on Forgiven later. Am still recovering from a bad case of flu and fever which hit me on Sunday. Nose is running away gleefully...

Mom's comments after watching Forgiven:

- (To Pr Chris' question as to whether she knew of my acting talent) I'm so proud of my daughter. I didn't know she could act!
- (To her daughter) Hey, why did you drive so fast in the video? Haiya, isn't that dangerous??

*Hey there, "Forgiven" was my first time attending punctuation production though I've been in DUMC for 3 years.

I must say that you were fantastic! I think I mentioned it to your brother at the end of Sunday's show. It's really good to put your talent for God.

Keep it up and may God continually bless you in all that you do

*hey cool, I stumbled on your page from paul sebastian. Just wanna say that I'm your fan now. :-)

Are you doing forgiven 2? (the return of the ah ma?)

Also, I love the teen love poem you wrote - and the poem in reply!

*Hey Eric, sounds like you are a big fan of Ah Ma, too eh? Heh, we did toy around the idea of having Forgiven 2 where Claire wakes up and found that it's all a bad dream and has a chance to start all over again... with another guy! But that would be too weird hor? Glad you liked that poem - it's evergreen to me :-)

Thanks, Nick :-D You really shouldn't miss out on future DUMC productions because they are really awesome (and I'm not saying that because I'm biased... hee!). Yups, my bro did convey your comments to me. Am very encouraged by it :-)
