The Things People Do For The Sake Of MLM - Story #1

Jeanne was tired after a hard day's work. Who said models on the catwalk have it easy? Thank goodness she was only doing it as a favor to her designer friend. No more, no more. Her legs were killing her. All she wanted was to soak her feet in her warm foot bath massager. After sprinkling Body Shop's Peppermint foot spa in it. Mmmmm.

But before she could slink out of the shopping mall unnoticed, someone tapped on her shoulder.

"Is that you, Jeanne? My gosh, it IS you! Imagine that, you, a model now!" an slick and oily voice assaulted her ears.

She turned and came face to face with a visage from the past - George Loh. His once much-envied six-packs have all rolled into one huge lump. But other than that, there was no mistaking the former school jock of S.M. Sea Park.

"Oh hi, George. Well, I'm not exactly a model. This is just a one-time thing," she pasted a polite smile on her limp lips.

"Really? Well, you could have kid me. You were so professional up there just now! You really brought out the best in those clothes. The top looks great on you and so were the accessories," George gushed effusively.

Jeanne listened patiently, knowing what would come next. George was famous in school for his barbs, not kindness.

"But..." George hesitated.

"But... what?"

"Errr, the short skirt wasn't really a good choice, you know. Seeing that your thighs are rather... chunky," George looked sad for a moment and then immediately brightened up. "But my herbal health tea might just do the trick to slim down those thighs. Why don't you give it a try?"

Jeanne's pasted smile was still intact but barely so. She rested her eyes on George's thighs. "Well, I don't know, George. I don't think your herbal tea is effective. I mean, look at your thighs. Wouldn't you say they are... chunky?"

With that, she tossed her healthy mane of hair at his shocked face and walked out triumphantly. Aching feet forgotten.

New Foodies

Things have been hectic and lots of drama have been going on. Sigh. Sometimes the only things that keep me sane and passionate about life are God, family, friends and food, glorious food.

Shooting food is therapeutic. You can arrange them any way you like. Take your time to compose your shots. And they take it with nary a complain. Plus they look pretty. More so when you know they are going to end up in your tummy and give you sustenance to shoot more foodie pics.

Here are some recent pretties. Enjoy and bon appetit!
