Fooman directed and edited this wonderful and touching video just before he came to KL. A church community project to share God's love with no strings attached. Watch it and be blessed.
The Video: The Loaf Story Matthew 25:37-40: A Meaningful Christmas
Had a fantabulous Christmas day. It began with greeting and catching up on pals from church.
These two clowns (Eric n Elvis my stage hubby) didn't get me anything, not even when I hinted that I wanted Pierce Brosnan right on my doorstep. ![]() But they compensated by giving me their most sizzling attention. Esther here is estatic that my 'The Apprentice' article that was published in our church newsletter had her name mentioned 3 times in it. Heh. ![]() With MF for whom we got this for... After the meet and greet session, my gal pals and I headed for SIB KL to meet Fooman and watch the much acclaimed musical play - Storm in a Tea Cup. It was well done. A tightly paced story, great acting and singing, wonderful originally composed songs and lyrics, great video shots and editing - overall, very professionally done. Bravo, SIB KL! The story line was based on the aftermath of last year's tsunami tragedy. I found some points of the story to be very moving and the message also had me tearing up a little. I have been doing some reflection on the year gone by. And realised that even though I had tried to be brave and positive about some disapointments in life because I know that God is ultimately in control and wants the best for me, I still had some resentment in my heart about the way some things turned out to be. Pr Chew's message was a timely one. He shared openly about the immense loss faced by his friend and by his ownself. How difficult it was for them to believe that God actually cared for them, and to not pile up guilt and if onlys upon themselves. But the fact remains - that God does love and care for us. And nothing can separate us from His enduring love for us. We need to let go of our disappointments and let God. And move on. After the show ended, we headed to BSC to grab some grub to eat. It was wonderful to catch up with Fooman and get some more pics taken. Overall, it was a fantastic and meaningful Christmas. Hope yours was great, too. With Fooman. A Continuation of Part 1
"Is anything ailing thee, milady? Are ye unwell?" Domingo immediately dashed across her and held her arm tenderly. Seraphine suddenly lost all train of thought as he rubbed her arm, a furrowed look upon his normally smooth brow. "I... I... ooooh..." Thus so engrossed were these two in their innocent frolics that all thoughts of poor Cassie fled from their minds. It was only when Domingo's stomach growleth that Seraphine came back to her senses. She hastily withdrew her arm from his enticing palms and cleareth her throat, "Sire, it is not I who is unwell. But rather, my beloved friend Cassie who is to meet ye, has taken to bed for she is ill of health." "Then we should not tarry a moment longer to pay her a visit. I doth gather that the lady is in some sort of trouble?" Seraphine bit her lip. Forsooth, she hath deliberately forgotten to mention the real nature of this meal affair to Domingo. All he knew was, she wanted him to meet her friend to see how he could help Cassie. The sod knowest not that Seraphine had matchmaking plans up her sleeves. "Nay, Domingo. 'Tis not necessary for the both of us to meet with her. I shall arrange for yet another meeting." The man suddenly broke into the sunniest of smiles. "My family will be celebrating the Yuletide with a feast the next morrow. Aye, I would be honoured if ye could grace my halls with thy presence and that of Cassie's as well." "Why, that is an excellent idea, good sir! Never fear, both me and my kindred spirit shall be present. I must go now. Fare thee well, milord." "And a good morrow to you, dearest Seraphine," he bowed and they both took their leave. "Wherefore??? Wherefore should I go to that Yuletide feast? Can't ye see?! Domingo is faint with love for thee and thou art in love with him. I shall not stand in the way of true love!" Cassie vehemently said as she bounded up from her bed. Obviously, the chit was no longer ill. "Pray, listen to me Cassie. I doubt Domingo looketh upon me as his leman. We are friends, that is all. But I dare swear that as the sun rises and sets each morrow, I know he is a good man. A greater man I have yet to meet. And Cassie, my dearest friend, let me have the joy and the honour to introduce thee to him!" "Nay, I cannot allow thee to do that. Besides, my heart is still wrought with melancholy over a certain person." "Is it Edward that blackguard that ye are referring to?" "Aye, it is he." "That blackhearted knave! That fiend! My Domingo is worth a thousand Edwards!" "Your Domingo, Seraphine?" Cassie smiled coyly at her best friend. "Ah, I rest my case." Seraphine blushed a pretty rosy red, "Aye, my heart melteth at the sight of him. And even when it hears a whisper of his name. But my fair friend, he would never look upon me that very same way. For I am neither beautiful in face nor in form." "Tommyrot!" Cassie thundered. "Thou hast the sweetest smile, the pleasantest disposition, the most cunning of wit and intelligence. Aye, a man would have to blind, deaf and dumb not to fall in love with thee. Nay, I cannot accept thy offer to be friends with Domingo. For my intuition tells me that his heart has already been enamoured by thee." Seraphine's heart quickened when she heard what her friend said. It rather confirmed what she felt in her own heart. Surely, friends doth not look upon each other the way Domingo devoured her with his eyes that very afternoon? But still, she decided to still place Cassie in Domingo's path to see if his heart would be apt to stray towards other pretty gels. Thus, she must get the girl to the Yuletide feast by hook or by crook. The question is how? To be continued A Nice Christmas Eve Lunch (Pics Below!)
Poor Tim was apparently misunderstood - by me and my friends! He actually did buy gifts for me and Rapunzel. It all started with a poem which led to several other doggerels and finally, a Christmas Eve lunch.
The poems were so darn good - better than anything I can produce lar - that I just have to include them here, since I got feedback from some of you who said that you usually do not read the comments section. I dunno but maybe I can feature some of the gems of comments that I receive from you guys so that they would not get hidden and unappreciated. Ok, here are the gems of the poems that got me and my gal pals a Christmas treat today Tim: And so, the four friends went out to lunch today at the Manhattan's Fish Market. Very traditional-like, I can assure you. And err... inspired by a true story. Heh heh. Enjoy. T'was a bitterly cold day. Only a few days to Christmas and Seraphine was beside herself with distraught. Where was her friend Cassandra? Perchance she thought that the meal time was on the morrow? She decided to give the chit a call. "Good morrow, Cassie. Whither art thou?" she snapped as soon as someone answered the phone. A groggy voice quavered in reply, "'Tis no good morrow for me!" "Wherefore, friend and kindred spirit? What grief doth assail thee, and is there aught I can do to aid thee?" "Prithee pardon, but my bones are weary and my body is ill of health," Cassie moaned. "Nay, a thousand times nay! Thou must come to the date that I had set up for thee! Wouldn'tst thou want to meet thy future husband?" Seraphine said with desperation in her voice. "My dearest friend, I desire thy holy wishes. But alas, I have taken to the sick bed and thus, must bid my adieu. Adieu!" Cassandra said faintly and hung up. Seraphine nearly swooned as the wind blew fiercely around her. She was undone! Abandoned by the very friend whom she had wanted to help seek a husband for. The very man who is at this very moment waiting for Cassandra at Ye Olde Smokehouse. Fie! Such is life. Seraphine had to go and bear the bad tidings for the Domingo, the dear brave man who was her friend. Domingo respectfully stood up when his eyes rested upon the countenance of his best friend Seraphine. Ah, there is no one quite like Seraphine. Aye, she may not be a beauty by conventional standards but zounds, when she speaketh, the whole world stood still. When she smileth, his heart skippeth a beat, nay two. "Milady..." "Brave sir..." They realised that they speaketh at the same time. Seraphine smiled and lowered her luminuous eyes. Domingo gallantly gestured for her to continue speaking. "Sir Domingo, I fear I have bad tidings for ye," she began. To be continued
