52 Great Things About Growing Older

Happy birthday to me!!!

This is a compilation of what I gathered from the web, forwarded mails and a bit of my own thoughts on why it's great to be a year older. Enjoy and remember, age is just mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.
  1. I grow more and more beautiful with age

  2. My smile is charming and utterly sweet (and crinkly!)

  3. Suddenly, I find a rapport with teenagers

  4. I don't feel as shy as I used to

  5. Many come to ask me for advise

  6. My experience is my best passport in life

  7. The longer I live, the smarter I get

  8. Grey hair earns respect (wrinkles, too!)

  9. Every day is a new experience

  10. Memories give me material for writing

  11. I'm a collector's item

  12. I make my own decisions

  13. I take things in stride

  14. I look back and I see God's hands weaving a beautiful tapestry in my life

  15. Being young at heart is better than being young and jaded

  16. I can follow my bliss

  17. Tolerance grows with age

  18. My family brags about my age

  19. Love is 100% better

  20. There's nothing to prove anymore. I've grown to love myself

  21. Asking for help doesnÂ’t make me dependent

  24. I'm not afraid to ask for help

  25. I am relaxed

  26. Wisdom has made me a poet

  27. The longer I live, the smarter I get

  28. People hold doors open for me

  30. I have time to read, nibble and grow fat

  31. Senior portions in restaurants keep me thinner

  32. I have more time for friends

  33. This is such an exciting age to be living in!

  34. Each new day is a gift from God

  35. I have collected enough junk to hold my own garage sale

  36. My past is a valuable asset

  37. Rather than searching for my dreams, I'm living them

  38. I'm still learning from my mistakes

  39. I'm still changing to be a better person

  42. I've learned to forgive myself

  43. I've survived it all

  44. I can be impulsive (not so set in my ways after all!)
