Met up with a bunch of wacky booklovers on Sun but some of our "regulars" (read: males) were unable to make it for various reasons. Still, it was great to catch up on the latest with each other, swap books and talk about topics other than books.

As Tat (one of our members) said, it's amazing that some of us have grown so close despite our vastly different backgrounds and knowing each other for only a short while. Maybe it's the amount of time that we spend conversing with each other both online and offline. Or maybe it's because we've come to the stage where we are comfortable with being ourselves and accept others at whatever stages of life they are in.

Ha, whatever the cause, it's a good thing

Elijah House Basic School 2 Part 1 Students

Don't be deceived by the joyous smiles on our faces - we had a long day today. We're coming back to complete Basic School 2 Part 2 next month. Times like these, I have to keep reminding myself that it's worthwhile waking up early on my weekends and sacrificing my rest time to attend the counseling classes. Been missing a few classes because of sheer exhaustion sometimes guilty grin But Elijah House has been instrumental in major breakthroughs in my life. Great things have happened to me since participating in this course and I want to use what I learned to help others who need it, too.

But nothing good comes easy.

Was doing some spring cleaning on my blog last weekend, thought everything was going fine when I suddenly realised that some precious comments were deleted... gone... vamooosed

Tried in vain to restore them but alas, did not make a backup of them prior to this.
