Passport Renewal
Just came back from the Klang Immigration Department to renew my passport and boy, it was a long wait. First, I had to wait to get my number. Second, because they did not accept the digital passport photo (taken by a valid photo salon), I had to queue up to get my proper passport photo taken. Great, a photo that needs to be displayed on an important document for the next 5 years and I only had lipstick on.
Never mind, there's nothing much I can do anyway. Thank God that today's a good hair and skin day so the photos turned out pretty good

In fact, better than the digital ones I had, heh!
Third, after getting my number, I had to wait in the queue to get my forms processed. This was when Katrina saw me, said hi and I ended up having a good chat with her and her hubby over breakfast at the nearby canteen. They were there to collect her passport.
Fourth, after submitting my forms, I had to wait to pay the RM300 for the passport renewal fees. After that, I was home free!
A Promotion
Yesterday, I came out of a company meeting to help with some laptop problems when my big boss called me back in.
"We're gonna make some announcements," he said.
I went back in, thinking that he wanted to announce that the IT dept finally managed to hire two good guys as my assistants (yes!!). But BB (big boss) did not mention that at all. Instead, he said that in appreciation of the contribution and years of service, the management has decided to promote three people (old-timers of the firm) - me included. I looked cool but was inwardly shocked. I mean, wow! I never really expected this. Praise God for His unexpected blessings!
Sad News
Mike is leaving the firm to be a full-time pastor at church. His last day will be the end of this month. Will miss my mentor and friend (and buffer from the boss) very, very much
