Last Night in Tassie

Tonite's my last night in Tasmania. Man, what a long time it has been since I left home. 11 days driving around Tassie-land is quite something.

Oh, on the way to Port Arthur just now, the car in front of us turned upside down and landed at the edge of the road. We stopped by to help. Thank God that the 3 Japanese passengers inside escaped without a scratch. They were shaken though.

The incident made a deep impact in us. Road accidents could happen to anybody. Life can end just like that. And thus, I'm compelled to log on at the hostel that we are staying and pay my Internet dues - no such thing as free internet access in Hobart! - and leave a paw print on my blog. Just in case. :-P

I can't wait to see my loved ones again. Happy birthday, mummy and bro! Wished I could be there with you guys celebrating your special day today.

Tomorrow we leave for Melbourne. And the day after that, we head back to Malaysia. So, I'll be home. Soon.

Tonight, we'll all treat ourselves to a sumptious steak dinner at Salamanca, Hobart. After many days of budget backpacking mode of travelling, it's a rare treat indeed. I can hardly wait...

:-)

*BB, yes sir! Shall post the pics asap. Didn't encounter any suicidal kangaroos but more like, suicidal wallabies, possums and wombats. So sad to see the vast amount of road kill :-(

Fooman, it's really good to be back :-)
