It was a hot, hot day. Perfect for the carnival. Perspiring for Coolcat. To gain the energy that I needed to help out in the Kelantan game stall, I tucked in some foodies before beginning work proper. Bezzie and I had:

Roti Jala dished out by Mr. PaulOS Ramlee (Burger)

Authentic Kajang Satay. Simply scrumptious!
I also caught sight of one of my favourite Christian authors - Becky Pippert - who preached in church over the weekend.

Soon it was time to put away our Satay sticks and march to our stall.

The Kites & Gasing Hoops Game is pretty simple. Each participant is given five small round hoops to throw upon a board that's impaled with chopsticks. Points are alloted according to the chopstick's color. Here's Uncle Chew was enthusiastically cheering the participants and stamping their games coupon.

And here are some of the participants.

It was amazing. The carnival crowd was massive! And the queues to the game stalls were like never-ending. So we were kept pretty busy. It was nice to see the participants - young and old - getting excited when their hoops landed smack dab on the chopsticks. We weren't sure if our game was easy or very fun but there were quite a few folks who kept on coming for more than three rounds.
Ahem Was pretty bushed after it all, so poor baby couldn't come out and play as much as he would like to. But I had a yummy dinner to look forward to...
It was my belated birthday celebration with my family members. A friend commented that I must be a VIP - to have nearly a fortnight long of birthday celebration festivities. This is the case almost every year actually. My family would let me have fun and gaiety with all my dear friends before taking me out for a nice dinner. Belated or no, the dinner's always good and that's what counts
We went to Happy Village Restaurant, Klang where their specialty is this fake shark's fin soup. One of my ultimate favourite dishes!

We also had fried 'Ma Yao' (some kinda fish)

And coffee pork rib. I didn't taste no coffee though... bleh.

Happy birthday to me (again)!
