My Jinx

Some people have perennial problems with their cars. Some others with their hard disks. No matter what make, model or brand they buy, it is only a matter of time before the thing conks out on them. I term such occurences as jinxes. Bad things that happen to pretty decent people.

And my jinx? Well, after my episode with the P key, I thought that was the end of my keyboard woes. Yeah right.

Yesterday when I was chatting with a friend, out came this:
me: so hOW, evERYthinG AlRight?
fren: wah, so cool wan your fonts
me: hEys, i fEEl likE a TEEn AgAin! whEE!
And when I wanted to press 2, @ appeared instead.

Bro decided not to fix the keyboard and just leave it be. That's probably a good thing. I'd be the coolest typist in town, spewing haphazardly capitalized words so effortlessly.

Still, I'd classify it under the Jinx category. Will I ever find a normal, steady and reliable keyboard for my home laptop?

Maybe I should start taking flower baths to ward off this jinx from my life.

*Coincidentally, I have a problem with my keyboard now. All the numbers are ' dead '. I think it is time that my keyboard goes to the scrap metal store!

*Coffee, how old is yr keyboard? Strangely enough, my other keyboard works fine and it's older than the minty new faulty one.

*Well at least it's just your keyboards that are faulty! My keyboard works fine but my fingers and brain are in need of repair.

*Only God knows how old the keyboard is. My guess is that it may have been around the company long before I join in and it is a wonder to me; knowing that he made it through, long enough to be handed over to such a ' rough ' user like me! Haha!
